The passion and the spirit of ceaseless
challenges, which are shared by all the people
of Telechips, have enabled us to grow and
develop as a world-class enterprise in the
non-memory field, despite ceaseless changes
in the industry and the times.
Since its foundation in October 1999 ,
the company has worked to achieve steady
sales through the competitiveness of core
technologies in the field of Caller ID chips
(which display caller information in wire
and wireless telephones), as recognized
by companies at home and abroad.
Additionally, in 2000 we achieved the
commercialization of the direct-encoding
(real-time recording) function in our line
of digital multimedia processor and have
opened up our own market in the existing
MP3 player market centered on playback (decoding).
Currently, several domestic and overseas
companies recognize our technologies, as
represented in a line of products that handle
the functions of restoring (decoding) the
MP3, WMA, AAC and Ogg Vorbis, and that restore
the compressed images of MPEG-4, JPEG in
portable media devices with multiple functions.
These products are now showing consistent
sales increases.
Our line of digital multimedia processor
has been developed for a variety of applications
such as the portable MP3 player (in both
the Flash and HDD types), the MP3 phone,
host MP3 player and in car audio/home audio,
thus responding to specialization and merging
trends of the domestic and worldwide markets
in the digital multimedia era.
